"Boost Your Security with Coinchange's 2-Step Verification and Google Authenticator"

Coinchange offers 2-step verification, known also as 2-factor (2FA) or multi-factor authentication, as an added security layer in addition to your username and password. With 2-step verification enabled on your account, you will need to provide a unique 6-digit code sent to your phone in addition to your username and password.

Some events that can trigger 2-step verification

  • Sign-in attempt from an unrecognized device
  • Sign-in attempt from an unrecognized phone number
  • Every 30 days from your last successful login

You can use Google Authenticator on the web application by following the below steps:

  • Log into your Coinchange account on the desktop using this link
  • Go to your Profile, click on the Account Security and select Two-Factor Authentication
  • There are two options to choose from - SMS or Authenticator App
  • Select Authenticator App
  • Follow the instructions on the screen

Please note:

You can switch between SMS and One-Time Password (OTP) in the Web app only.

You can choose any authenticator application that OTP is compatible with (Google Authenticator).
